Doyin Fashakin, the principal of Doyin Fash Events, fell in love with hosting events while being tasked to help set up the meeting room for political meetings held at their house by her dad during her teenage years. She quickly became excited by all the liveliness that goes on during the event planning process and the satisfaction that comes with a seamless execution. She got more interested in pursuing planning as a full time career after witnessing the chaos at an event where someone made a comment about African events always being disorganized.
Doyin Fashakin, is an internationally sought-after event planner and consultant in Houston, with over 18 years of experience as an event planner for corporate events, luxury weddings, and special events. With great attention to detail and a flair for bringing the unthinkable to life, she rises to meet every challenge with anticipation and excitement. Doyin creates unique events that leave her clients and guests in awe, and throughout her extensive career, she has had the opportunity to work on international events in global locations such as Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and North & South America.

- I’ve been in the event planning space for about 2 decades, starting out in Atlanta before planting roots in Houston. Both cities shaped me, and they’re still at the heart of how I work and connect with people.
I got into planning after witnessing the chaos at an event where someone made a comment about African events always being disorganized. That moment pushed me to do better, for my culture and for every client who deserves peace, beauty, and structure on their special day.
- Weddings are a big part of what I do, but I also plan milestone celebrations and corporate events. From conferences, to milestone celebrations to Christmas parties to brand launches and elegant galas. If it’s a celebration that calls for impact and intentionality, I’m there.
- I specialize in experience-driven events. Whether it’s floral ceilings, dramatic entrances, or a live band flying in from another state, my clients come to me when they want a “wow” moment that still feels true to who they are.
- I’ve worked with a wide range of cultures. Nigerian, Hispanic, Arab, Persian, Haitian, Caribbean, Indian, American, and more….bringing tradition and style together in a seamless way. It’s important to me that every client feels seen and celebrated.
- Calm is my superpower. Even when things don’t go 100% as planned, I bring steadiness and solutions. That alone has saved more than a few events.
